UK companies could be fined if they fail to obey a new European law on websites and emails, which came into force this year. Under the new law every company now needs to list its company registration number, its place of registration and registered office address on both its website and in emails.
This info is already required on business letters, but the new regulations extend it to websites, order forms and electronic documents, including email.
