Welcome to Switched on Sounds The mobile disco event specialist. Switched On Sounds have been organising discos, karaoke, sound and lighting, etc for all types of functions in the South-East London and North-West Kent for nearly ten years. From very humble beginnings, aged 15 and based on my hard earned income from a newspaper round, I started my first small mobile disco. At least this way I didn't need get up quite so early!! The disco side gradually grew. I soon found myself hosting children's parties, birthdays, anniversaries, etc and obtained the first of many residencies at a local pub. Disco continues to be our 'bread and butter' business, but more recently we have added karaoke, quiz evenings & been involved in numerous charity fund raising events (the tsunami appeal, the children's society, and a beer festival on behalf of cancer research UK etc). In the summer of 2005 we were asked to organise a complete music festival; this involved using our own sound and lighting, booking bands and singers, marquees, etc. Unfortunately we could not organise for it not to rain that day!!
