 Councillor Bill Howatson welcomed delegates from the Coastal towns to Stonehaven before the start of the formal Conference of the Susset Project which takes place in Inverurie on Thursday 31st August.
Area Manager for Kincardine & Mearns, Willie Munro also extended a warm welcome to delegates from Stromstad in Sweden, Messalongi in Greece and Hel in Poland at the Council Chambers at Viewmount.
 A buffet was provided by local Delicatessen, Deli-cacies. and all visitors exchanged experiences with some of their counterparts in an informal atmosphere before the formal part of the conference starts at 9am at Inverurie on Thursday 31st August 2006.
