Definition of the process of partnership

A partnership is formed by different participants with a common goal, ready to compromise within a certain well defined topic.

All participants must know the expected output from the partnership. It is about cooperation and about resolving differences. The process itself and to reach the goals are  both as important.

The most common reasons
for partnerships to fail

•         The partnership was set up at the wrong time –

often to late in the process.

•         Wrong players, i.e. people without  mandate to represent.

•         The partnership had no right to make decisions.

•         Not enough engagement from partnership members.

•         Lack of resources.

•         Lack of engagement.

•         Different goals.

•         The topic was not firmly defined.

•         The goal is not reachable.
