STONEHAVEN DESIGNATED THE NORTH EAST FOOD TOWN Stonehaven is one of the most popular coastal towns in the North East of Scotland, on an enviable location around Stonehaven Bay. Just off the main A90 dual carriageway from the south to Aberdeen, and with a main line railway station, Stonehaven is an increasingly popular place to visit and stay. Originally a market town, Stonehaven still has an excellent range of local shops and businesses either producing or selling food of the highest quality. A monthly Farmers Market has been a great success.
Stonehaven Business Association has designated Stonehaven as the North-East Food Town with the aim of promoting food businesses in the town.
Stonehaven Food Town will provide a showcase for quality food shops, from award winning butchers, top class bakers and confectioners, fresh fish merchants and grocery shops and supermarkets.
The picturesque harbour and beach front attract many visitors who can also appreciate the fine food in a wide range of quality cafes, tea rooms and restaurants offering everything from a sandwich to top quality cuisine.
