Stonehaven Town Hall Study – Potential Investigated Potential future uses for Stonehaven Town Hall have been revealed in a feasibility study commissioned by the Aberdeenshire Towns Partnership. The study, undertaken by Jura Consultants, was commissioned by the partnership, consisting of Aberdeenshire Council, Scottish Enterprise Grampian and Scottish Homes, in May 1998. The town hall was identified as a priority project because of its importance in the local community. Read More

SusSET Conference in Stonehaven Ends in Blaze of Glory
Stonehaven entertained delegates from the Coastal Towns participating in the Susset Project during the Scottish Conference from 31st August to 3rd September 2006.

Stonehaven Delegates Attend SusSET Conference in Sweden Stonehaven was represented at the 1st Major Conference for the Interreg111C Project - Sustaining Small Expanding Towns(SusSET) held in the Vastra Gotalands Region in Sweden from Wednesday 7th September - Saturday 10th September2005. The SusSET project is an International Project - involving 12 towns from 4 EU nations, Scotland, Sweden, Poland and Greece.- that has been set to explore the issue of finding the best 'coping' strategies for small traditional, yet expanding, towns. The project is seeking to determine whether a single model strategy or models, can exist to help such towns deal with future issues and thus regain positions of strength.
