Last year's Christmas Fair in the Town Hall on Sunday 26th November 2006 was another great success for Stonehaven Business Association.
Stall holders reported brisk steady trading right from when doors opened at 12 noon.
Visitors and stall holders were entertained by pupils of Singing Coach Mike Smith, Aberdeen and Ma Simpsons Stonehaven. The carol singing and piano playing created a real Christmas atmosphere and the Association were very grateful to Chrissie Stirk and Mike Smith for their contribution to the success of this event.
Santa's Grotto was very popular with the children and the Association received an unexpected bonus when Santa Bill Barclay requested that his fee be donated to the Christmas Lights for Stonehaven. This was much appreciated.
The Tombola Stall did well by raising £554 towards the Christmas Lights as well . Congratulations to all volunteers who assisted.
Teas and coffees were provided upstairs by Donna Pirie and staff ably assisted by SBA members Wilma Bruce and Kath Thorndycraft. This raised £260 towards the Christmas Lights. Again the efforts of the members who volunteered was much appreciated.
The Business Association would like to thank all the members who contributed bottles for the Tombola Stall and all those who volunteered their time to set up, decorate the Town Hall and help with teas etc.
All traders taking part were very happy so a great day for everyone involved.
