The Marine Hotel reopened it's doors on Tuesday 13th March 2007 after extensive refurbishment.
Workmen were still putting the finishing touches to the bar as the door opened at 5.15pm. New Owner Robert Lyndsay who also owns the very popular Creel Inn in Catterline was delighted with the new look.
The bar has an amazing selection of beers with 6 Cask Ales and over a 100 other beers to choose from.
Food will be served from 12noon til 2.30 pm Mon - Fri and all day Saturday and Sunday. Customers can enjoy their meal in the cosy atmoshere of the Snug with a real coal fire. Accommodation is not available yet as extensive renovations will be carried out upstairs to ensure a high standard of rooms are available.
A new website will be available soon to provide more information on menus and types of beer available and up to date progress on new developments.
Initial reaction from the first customers to visit suggests that because of the wonderful atmosphere, the incredible choice of beers and the excellent food, the new look Marine will become even more popular to locals and also help to attract more visitors to the Harbour area.
