My latest CD is available NOW
This is my fourth and probably my best recording so far. It is my usual mix of traditional sounding songs from Ireland, Canada and the US. It includes yet another two songs from the great Stan Rogers, I can't get away from his beautiful songwriting, one each from John Prine and Don Mclean, I'm great admirers of both these greats.
I've also three of my own songs, two Ulster linked ones, one of which is about the sinking of the Larne to Stranraer ferry, The Princess Victoria in 1953. Also a song about a great man I met at a friends music gathering in Vernal, Utah. His name is Herb Troster and he was like an encyclopedia of local folk songs!
I've included two great fiddle tunes, played by Jamie Smith and a lovely blue grassy type of song from Hannah Thompson, who also helped with some backing vocals.
