Spend just an hour on the train from Central London, and you can be in the heart of Sussex enjoying a tremendous day's racing.    Please note that ordering your tickets online via this site a booking fee is charged       Tony McCoy rides his 3,000th winner at Plumpton Racecourse     Champion Jump Jockey Tony McCoy reached the unique landmark of 3,000 jumps winners with success aboard Restless D'Artaix in the Tyser & Co Beginners' chase at Plumpton Racecourse on Monday 9th February.   With just 4 rides to secure the 2 wins needed to take him to 3,000 winners, he secured his 2,999th winner on the second ride of the day aboard Hello Moscow in the Chris Poole And George Ennor Memorial Handicap Hurdle, trained by the Lewes based Jim Best.   On a day of drama, McCoy had slimmed down to his lowest weight of 10st 4lb to ride Miss Sarenne, however having looked assured of victory, she fell at the last when clear.  On his next and final ride of the day, McCoy rode a race that demonstrated why he has been champion jockey 13 times when riding Restless d’Artaix, who was having his first run over fences, to victory.   McCoy said afterwards: It's not something I'm going to play down - I am ecstatic.  All 3,000 winners have taken a lot of hard work.
