1) Absorbaflor Looselay
 Perkins Absorbaflor Looselay consists of 10mm thick ‘Absorbafoam’ loose laid straight on top of the existing floor. The ‘absorbafoam’ edges are butt jointed with spray adhesive. Flexible Blocker layer, BL20, is then loose laid in the opposite direction to the ‘Absorbafoam’ so that joints do not correspond. The flexible blocker joints are then taped to effectively provide a ‘one piece’ Absorbaflor ready to accept carpet or other soft floor coverings. (Overlay boards can be provided for laminate flooring and tiles).
Why Looselay?
¨ Absorbaflor looselay is less expensive than ‘prebonded’ one piece competitors products, yet matches their performance for airborne and impact noise reduction.
¨ Because Looselay joints of each layer do not correspond there are less weak spots for sound to penetrate when foot pressure is applied to the top layer.
¨ Absorbaflor Looselay is supplied in larger sizes which can be ‘rolled out’ quickly – yet are lighter per square metre to carry than ‘one piece’ prebonded products.
Note: A further reduction in airborne sound can be achieved by using Flexible Blocker BL20 both above and beneath ‘Absorbafoam’
