The Beastmaster XTA 1600 is the successor to one of Shimano's best-selling poles ever. Lighter and stiffer, it now incorporates the Shimano Tip Saving System. With standard non-hollow elastics up to grade 14/16, Shimano Tip Saving System's larger bore means that when you buy a 16-metre pole, it's 16 metres you'll be fishing at. Designed in conjunction with Steve Ringer - carp matchman supreme with Fish'O'Mania and Parkdean Masters titles to his name - you'd on managed stillwaters - and it doesn't disappoint. But don't think this pole is just about brute strength. It also carries a Match top two, the same length as a standard top three set, and can be used in total confidence on rivers and canals. The total 16m length is acheived by 11 sections collapsing to 182cm for transportation. Elastic rating - max 20.
