Shire Horse of the Year
P & W Bedford's Acle Delma's Double D was named Shire Horse of the Year on 6 September. Bryan Banham's Acle Sabrina was second and he had the extra pleasure of having bred both. Third was Richard Bedford's Boothay Richard.
Turnout of the Year
David Mouland and his team of Clydesdales from Fordingbridge, Hampshire took the first-ever Heavy Horse Turnout society's Turnout of the Year Championship held on 6 September. He also won the teams section. Winner of the singles was David Curtis with his Percheron and Elspeth Ross with the Waldburg Shires won the pairs. Maggie Smith came first in the agricultural category. |
