Stonehaven is a pretty little town and has many local attractions including the magnificent Dunnottar Castle which can be reached from here on foot. A few minutes walk away there is the very picturesque harbour, and the open air heated swimming pool is nearby. The area is suitable for golfers, walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers.
