This may seem like a traditional conehead, not much different from those already available on the market - but they sure are not!
These extremely thin tungsten cones have several advantages. They do have the traditional advantage of the weight concentrating properties in standard tungsten cones. The difference is that the thinner material in the cone makes them balance better in the water for their size. They create a perfect balance with SALAR tube hooks, no matter if you prefer double- or treble hooks. The shape of the cone makes it cut the water nicely, creating a good possibility for the fly to swim. These cones are designed to fit perfectly together with the FITS tubing system. The three smallest sizes fit the x-small tubing and the L size fits the Small size tubing. The cones will fit without any unnecessary dimensional difference or any need for stretching the tubing. Simply put, they just fit – FITS! The thin walled construction offers larger interior space. Finally, no more problems trying to fit tying thread and heads inside the cone.. Tie your flies as before, let the thin tungsten cone slide in place and melt a nice fluorescent edge that locks it securely. Your fly will have a perfect balance and your head will be stronger than any glue and varnish in the world – it FITS!
