Hardy Swift Fly Reel
|
Another great looking reel from Hardy. The large mid arbor spools will hold a tremendous amount of backing for those of you who fish for running, hard fighting species. The reel has a two tone modern look to it, the cage being finished in gunmetal blue, and the spool in silver. The drag system is smooth and positive. The reel makes a sweet purring sound when line is being taken off the spool, not a startled shriek like some reels. This is a sign of good manufacture. For the perfectionist the TE version allows the weight of the reel to be pushed up the rod for creating a perfectly balanced outfit. The reel is available in #5/6 to #11/12 models and #7/8 weight in the TE. Spools for the #9/10 and the #11/12 fit the same cage, for example you may have one set up with a full Spey line, and the other loaded with a lighter shooting head system.
