When you handle a lot of fly rods many of them seem very similar to other rods in similar ranges from different companies. When I first picked up the 10' #7 in the E2 range that's what I expected, however this rod stands out above any other in this size and weight category. The rod loads very easily, it will hold a good amount of line in the air with no line sag without critical timing, but most of all the loops that you can achieve are awesome. Don't try to beat the rod and once it is loaded shoot the line. The rod has no tip bounce, so there is no wave of line traveling to the tip, just a laser straight line. All the rods in this range are very accurate and swift. They are a rod that you do not want to put down, the balance is perfect. Scott have a great following in the US, they are the choice of many top guides. In the UK Scott appeals to the experienced angler, in fact they have been a well kept secret.
