Kryptonites turn themselves on as the sun goes down and off as it gets light, completely eradicating the need for fragile, expensive isotopes. What’s more, the power pack delivers, on average, a season’s worth of fishing without need for replacement.
The bobbins themselves look and weigh very similarly to existing products available with the standard model weighing just 15g this weight will suit the majority of anglers however we have also developed a "weight gain" kit that is available as an accessory which replaces the standard alloy parts with stainless steel providing an additional 10g.
One of the clever parts of the unit is the development of the electronics allowing an extraordinarily long battery life and the automatic illumination of the unit once ambient light diminishes, we have test sampled units to over 2,000 hours of illumination.
The bottom nut is a manual masterswitch which when activated automatically sets the unit to monitor light levels and switch itself on at dusk and off at dawn, obviously the incorporation of a masterswitch was necessary so as not to turn the unit on when it was placed in the anglers bag as they were packing up to leave.
How many people ask for " mega bright isotopes" ? With our power packs as supplied in the bobbins as standard powering the units for up to a season without needing replacement but eventually when they do they can be obtained from us at just £2.50 !!
These leave isotopes well and truly in the dark !!
Due to the demand for anglers to be able to personalise their own bobbins we have developed some very clever and hi tech looking surface finishes for the skirts and lampshades allowing a high degree of customisation to both the upper and lower parts of the bobbin.
The removable and replaceable lampshades are a surface treated and patterned sleeve that masks the light source at the top of the bobbin the clever part here is the "masking" of the surface to allow smiley faces or high tech looking patterns to be illuminated, in addition the afixing of a lampshade allows anglers that may think the units were "too bright" to be able to tone them down if they so require.
The sleeve covering the base of the unit called the skirt, basically covers the powerpack compartment.These again are available in several different finishes to the stainless looking sleeve finish supplied as standard as well as the standard flouro type colours, but all are supplied in "soft touch" material as per Sky remote control buttons, very nice looking and feel great.A particularly nice looking skirt is the three colour carbon effect that will also be supplied as an accessory.
