WinScribe Europe, developer of the most advanced digital dictation software, has welcomed the introduction of the new range of Digital Pocket Memo devices from Philips. For the first time the recorders can be integrated with digital dictation applications, paving the way for simpler use and potentially increasing the market size.
"The new Pocket Memos can be integrated to make the most of the power of the latest generation of digital dictation software," said Ken Nolan, Sales Manager of WinScribe Europe. "The recorders now do far more than simply record, and the increased ease of use will appeal to more users than ever before."
WinScribe Europe expects strong demand for the two Digital Pocket Memos at the top of the new range. Both the 9400 and 9350 will be integrated with WinScribe Digital Dictation; both have the familiar Philips 4-Position Switch, which enables intuitive single-handed operation; both use removable, expandable storage cards; and the top-of-the-range 9400i can be used as a PC microphone when in its cradle.
The new Application Programming Interface (API) can allowWinScribe users to control the workflow software, even if dictating away from their desk. The built-in screen can display user-selectable options, allows to entry of keywords or even patient numbers in medical applications, for example.
WinScribe Europe will start supplying customers with the new Philips Digital Pocket Memo range immediately.
