Legal services company Gordon Brown Associates has opted for a WinScribe digital dictation system to provide a robust solution after concerns over the performance of its current provider. Already convinced of the benefits of digital dictation to better manage workload and allocate resource, Gordon Brown turned to WinScribe for a more reliable solution to ensure a consistent service to its clients.
The software was implemented by WinScribe partner Dictation Solutions and will be used by over 20 fee earners and 30 transcribers in the financial services and solicitors departments, based across three offices in the UK. Whether office-based or a remote user, fee earners can easily upload dictations onto the WinScribe system and have them queued ready for transcription by the first available transcriber.
Gordon Brown, senior partner, comments: “Due to poor reliability issues with our old system, staff have welcomed WinScribe and the additional functionality with open arms. We expect to see a vast improvement in the performance and flexibility of transcribers and the ability to easily prioritise actions and view work flow will make for better forecasting and decision making.”
“We were very impressed with the short implementation and set-up time, which took less than a day, and expect to realise an immediate return on investment as we won’t need to employ temporary staff to cope with peak times for transcription,” he continues.
Gordon Brown Associates also plans to roll out the system to its estate agency department over the next few months.
