Legal firm, Endeavour Partnership has purchased a network digital diction system from WinScribe, after experiencing numerous technical problems with its previous system. Endeavour decided to make the switch to WinScribe, a world leader in voice to document software solutions, to ensure a seamless, secure and reliable dictation system.
Endeavour opted for WinScribe as it offered a flexible and reliable technology, which could be easily integrated into Endeavour’s existing IT infrastructure. The new networked dictation system was successfully installed in August by WinScribes partner Dictation Solutions, and is currently being used by forty-two members of staff, consisting of XX fee earners and XX secretaries.
Joy Rogowski XXX Endeavour Partnership explains,“ The WinScribe system has allowed us to manage our workload more effectively. As well as all the extra features which make transcription easier, like controlling the speed of dictation, the flexibility of the system means we avoid incurring any downtime if staff are absent as we can allocate jobs and managed resources more easily. The installation was quick and seamless, with no disruption to our existing IT system.”
Solicitors can now dictate remotely using their hand-held recorder and transfer dictation to the WinScribe server via an individual docking station connected to their home PC, or laptop. The encrypted dictation is stored on the central server, awaiting transcription from the office-based secretarial team.
The in-built flexibility of the WinScribe software gives solicitors the option to allocate the document for transcription to a particular secretary according to their experience, or alternatively allow the system to automatically allocate jobs to the next available transcriber. This saves time, creating a faster document turn around, helping to dramatically improve client service.
