Schools Speaker Service
Reflection Network has a network of volunteer school speakers offering talks and presentations on a wide range of topics. Our speakers can deliver talks and presentations to primary and secondary school age groups (including Foundation Stage) and can adapt their presentations to suit the R.E. school curriculum that you are following. We also arrange interactive mosque visits for pupils of any age.
Our materials represent over 10 years experience in presenting to children from primary to secondary school level, with LEA and SACRE approval.
Our speaker's role in the classroom is to serve the teacher in their effort to achieve attainment levels pertinent to the understanding of Islam. We use pre-designed presentations that meet national curriculum requirements that can be approved and adjusted prior to the presentation in accordance with specific curriculum requirements.
We present in professional objective and neutral manner that is in no way devotional. We neither promote nor denigrate Islam or any other religion or belief system.
Reflection Network School Speakers are fully trained volunteers who work with local schools to deliver:
- Presentations suitable for assemblies or other large group settings (up to 20 minutes)
- Presentations suitable for the classroom or other small group settings (up to one hour)
- Presentations in a local mosque
